The Deccan Plateau is a Heaven on Earth! It has an abundant amount of food for both vegetarians and omnivores. There are three main rivers: Krishna, Kaveri, and Godaveri. These rivers provide fresh water and fish for the people. The annual floods are small but they enrich the soil alot. Farmers love living here because of the rich black soil available here. The Deccan Plateau is located between the East and Western Ghats. These mountains prevent invaders from entering. The Deccan Plateau is also near the ocean. The ocean provides a wonderful vacation place and ways to trade with neighboring countries.
The Brahmaputra may sound safe and peaceful but in reality it is actually a very dangerous place. Every year the floods destroy many villages taking many peoples lives, young and old. Mosquitos rule the air there, there is high chance that you can get malaria which is a deadly disease. Unlike the Deccan Plateau the Brahmaputra River has many food shortages. This could lead to starvation and death. During the monsoon months it is very hot in the day and very cold in the night. There is a high risk of pneumonia.
